• Jordi Vallejo joins GCM as VP of Technology. January 2010
  

  Jordi Vallejo, former CTO at FON Wireless Ltd., has joined the GCM team as VP of Technology. Jordi will help bring OTDM Technology into real products and deployments for the wired and wireless Telecommunication industry. His long experience dealing with Telco equipment vendors and Chipset design houses, besides his recent involvement on technical deployments of new technologies for major Telcos in Europe and Asia, will be of great value so the time needed for GCMs technology to start giving profitability to our Telco partners around the globe gets shortened.

  Jordi Vallejo claims: "For several years I have been wondering why our 21st century wired and wireless RF telecommunications were still so vulnerable to noise and there was still no technology that really solved the problem and even took advantage of it. After so many years working on technology in Asia and the US I never thought I would find the solution right here in my own country. • Research Collaborative project Leaded by GCM obtains funds from Spanish Innovation Ministry. December 2010
  

  GCM proposal for using OTDM into the High Voltage fault detection research has been granted with funds from the Spanish Innovation Ministry. The project involves GCM as a technology supplier, The Department of Electronics of University of Alcala as a researcher organization and INDRA as a final product integrator.

• RUS Medical Technology acquires an equity stake in the technology company GCM. January 2009
  

  GCM and RUS Medical Technology have announced the entry of the latter in the shareholder structure of the company based in Madrid, in a €500.000 transaction

  The entry of RUS will allow GCM to consolidate the position of their leading technology in the medical non invasive market. RUS' experience into medical technology companies and market will be a great asset in carrying out the company’s expansion plans. Through this transaction, RUS becomes a part of the company’s Board of Directors.

  Vicente Díaz, GCM’s Founder and President, claims: "GCM and RUS Medical Technology goal is to develop their OTDM technology and optimize non invasive medical systems. RUS' experience within medical devices as well as their national and international contacts will be fundamental to the development of the company in this area”

• Nauta Capital acquires an equity stake in the technology company GCM. July. 2008.

  GCM and Nauta Capital have announced the entry of the latter through its venture capital entity Nauta Tech Invest II, in the shareholder structure of the company based in Madrid, in a €500.000 transaction.

  The entry of Nauta will allow GCM to consolidate the position of their leading technology they have been developing, as well as strengthening the management, commercial and development teams, in line with the intense commercialization phase their products will embark in the following months. Nauta will also contribute to the internationalization of the business. Nauta’s experience in technology companies with an international vocation such as GCM will be a great asset in carrying out the company’s expansion plans. Through this transaction, Nauta will be a part of the company’s Board of Directors.

  Vicente Díaz, GCM’s Founder and CEO, claims: "GCM has been developing their OTDM technology, that optimizes wireline and wireless communication systems. Nauta’s experience within telecommunications as well as in the growth and international expansion of companies such as GCM will be fundamental to the development of the company”.

• GCM has been granted with its two years R&D project financing by Spanish Industry Ministry. January. 2008.

  Although GCM has been working with its partners on the development of a High Efficiency Radio System based on OTDM since January 2007 it was in July 2007 when such grant was published under the PROFIT seal, giving GCM a plus to their developments and allowing to completely finance its two years long project (2007-2008). GCM Communications Technology participates as a partner of INDRA and the collaboration of the Department of Electronics of Alcala University (Madrid) on this project.

  Due to its current expansion, GCM will move to its new facilities next April. The new High-Tech building is located inside the Campus of the University of Alcala in the so called University of Alcala Scientific Park TECNOALCALA (www.pctua.org).

• Alberto Dubois joins GCM as the new V.P. Corporate Development, June 1st 2006.

  With the incorporation of Alberto Dubois as shareholder and new Vicepresident for Corporate Development, GCM enforce its management team to face the new developments and goals GCM has in the near future. Alberto is currently Chairman of Prodigios Interactivos SA, an investment company specialised in technology and leisure related projects since year 2.000. Before was responsible for investment banking services in Spain for several international banks, with more than 15 years of experience in financing, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions and business development.

• Claves de la economía mundial 2005 (World Economy Keys 2005) (Book). "GCM Communication Technology: The experience of Spanish Start-up".

  This Spanish book, published thanks to the collaboration between ICEX and ICEI, is a compendium of analysis and opinion articles about global economy environment, focusing Spanish companies internationalization, Spanish policy and R&D. • October 19, 2002. GCMcom will be presented into the first NEOTEC Venture Capital forum in November.

  GCMcom has been selected as one of the twenty best Spanish technological start-up companies. As a result of this selection, GCMcom will be presented to investors into the first NEOTEC Venture Capital forum to be celebrated in the World Trade Center of Barcelona on November the 14th. This event has been organized by CDTI and CIDEM into the frame of NEOTEC Network.

• August , 2002. GCMcom obtain 294,951€ from CDTI and private investors.

  Finally, GCMcom has received from CDTI 192,780€ for the development of its OTDM based prototype. This funds have been obtained thanks to the NEOTEC program initiative and the Spanish Ministery of Science and Technology for "start-up" companies. It also has obtained 102,171_ from private investors. This help should allow GCMcom to obtain a functional prototype in order to get to a round of external investing (venture capital) in order to boost the company up.

• July 1, 2002. GCMcom presentation on the Final Conference of the MESIAS Network in Brussels.

  As a final evaluation of the two years activities of MESIAS project, a two days conference will be celebrated on 1st-2nd July 2002 in Brussels. First session will be dedicated to corporate strategies, focusing on dynamics of MNEs in the generation of knowledge in order to improve decisions of European and national policy makers and managers. The second session will be oriented to the external environment, interaction of firms within national systems. This last session includes a roundtable on the topic: "Policies to encourage internationalization and the firms' experiences" in which GCMcom will be presented as an example of recent innovative high technology start-up company.

• November 2001. GCMcom sign a contract to develop an experimental Power Line modem using GCM technology.

  Last months meetings with the Space Robotics Dept. of the Spanish Laboratory of Robotics of CAB/INTA (Astrobiology Center of Aero spatial Techniques National Institute ), a NASA associated research center based in Torrejon (Madrid), has fructify in a contract for the joint development of a hybrid Power Line/DSL modem, in order to test and prove the characteristics of GCM technique in high noise, high speed conditions. The prototype will work in extreme conditions inside of a submarine (SNORKEL) used to analyze life in the Rio Tinto river (Huelva, Spain) with very similar characteristics to Mars environment.

• October 2001. GCMcom to present GCM in Austin next IEEE 802.11 meeting (Texas, Nov. 13th at 11:00 a.m.)

  The chair of the IEEE 802.11 G Tasking group, Matthew B. Shoemake, invite us to assist and present GCM technology in the IEEE meeting to be held in Austin (Texas) next November. The character of our presentation will be to show the advantages of GCM (also called OTDM) in wireless applications such as high rate next generation IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs, now in its standardization process.

  In fact, GCMcom might have been presenting GCM last September the 18th, but due to actual circumstances it is been postponed till November. To get our presentation please contact us.

  Presentation will be held in Hyatt Regency Town Lake, Austin, TX, USA next Nov. 13th at 11:00 a.m. into the IEEE 802.11 Working group G plenary meeting.
